I must admit I got out my old vinyl Clancy Brothers LPs and CDs, both with and without Tommy Makem. I have one right here by Tommy Makem and Liam Clancy "We've come a long way". Dave transferred the LPs onto CDs using a USB turntable. I've also been listening to my "Fureys and Davy Arthur" CDs. I have a 2xCD set of beautiful songs and tunes by Finbar and Eddie Furey. (Yes, his name had one 'r' while Finbarr Clancy has two) (http://media.bestprices.com/pop/cov200/dre200/e277/e27736xby0s.jpg) Most of these are now discontinued, but maybe the success of the High Kings will revive interest in their fathers and uncles! I enjoy them all, the sweet love songs and traditional tunes of the Fureys and the passionate rousing Rebel songs and sea shanty's of the Clancys.
