A week or so ago, I was made aware of little Layla Grace. I have rarely ever been one to pass along a situation of a complete stranger, but then again, when you need help like this, you stop caring much about who exactly is helping you. Layla Grace is a 2 year old girl in Houston Texas who is suffering from stage 4 neuroblastoma. Her story has garnered attention from folks all over the US and has supporters from around the world. Ryan Seacrest recently interviewed Layla's mother, who is trying very hard along with her husband to get through this extraordinarily hard, difficult time. I am asking you to please lift up little Layla in your prayers tonight as she seems to be deteriorating. She is in a lot of pain, but cannot take morphine or similar pain medication, as she is allergic to it. Pray for Layla for comfort and relief of pain and her parents who undergoing a tremendous amount of heartache and pain with all of this. You can receive the latest updates and information at www.laylagrace.org. Rarely have I come across someone who has so quickly grabbed hold of my heart.... Please lift this little lady up in prayers tonight as things are become increasingly more difficult tonight for Layla. Thank you all in advance.

Do you happen to know if she is on "Caring Bridge" like Bella Rodriguez is? Maggie got me acquanted with this little fighter, and they post notes about here and it is a wonderful way to keep track of a child who is ill. This little one sounds like she is very special now, and should not have to go through that pain. I will keep her in my prayers..Let us know if she is on caring bridge so we can sign up and receive news.. thanks for posting. C S

It is with mixed emotions that I pass on to you all that Layla Grace Marsh is no longer with us.... in a very brief tweet this afternoon, Layla's parents informed everyone that Layla had gone to "play with the angels early this morning". In one sense, it is heartbreaking that she has lost her fight to neuroblastoma...but on the other hand, it is a relief to know that she no longer is suffering in her small frail body. From what I've been able to find on the net, her funeral will be this Saturday. Pray for her family in what is surely one of the hardest moments of their lives as they face the loss of their little girl. A huge thank you to everyone who prayed for her.....

I am sorry, too, that this bad news has to be the update... We pray now for the family at such a bad time and that there will be some healing in the grief they feel and some tiny bit of comfort in the love and support we offer.

So very sorry to hear this...It is good that that child does not have to suffer more of that pain, but sad that her family had to say good-bye to her...she did have a short precious life and her memory will comfort those who love her I will say a prayer for her family. Shankdee

The latest blog entry today from Layla's mother: "I’d like to say thank you for the overwhelming support we’ve received the past few days. We felt loved before, but WOW, I’m completely speechless. In the midst of feeling like my heart is being ripped out, I’m also so thankful for the love for Layla that is being shown to us. Layla has touched so many in her short time on earth. Please join us at Layla’s Celebration of Life, Saturday March 13th at 10:30am at Bear Creek Baptist Church. 5901 North Fry Road, Katy, TX 77449-1807. We will honor her through pictures, music and a balloon release. Childcare will be provided. A huge thank you to everyone who is inquiring about donating flowers for the service. Layla LOVED flowers!! Here is our florist information…. Autumn Leaves Florist 15210-D Spring Cypress Cypress, Texas 77429 281-373-3332 " Also, a moment of silence and lighting a single candle tommorow night and Saturday night at 8 pm is being observed by people around the world who have been following Layla and her journey. Personally, to me I think it is a light for more than just Layla, although she's been the catalyst for many folks hearing and learning about neuroblastoma...it is a light for others who have fought and lost this battle, and those who continue to fight cancer in general. We have several dear folks within our forum community who are fighting this battle as we speak. Continue to pray for them and lift them up. Finally, YouTube has a channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/fightforlayla There, you'll get the chance to see Layla a bit for yourselves. Very much a typical child, but a truly beautiful precious soul. Please pass Layla's story on to your own family and friends, and let them know of the need to raise awareness for the fight against neuroblastoma. Thank you dear Layla, for how you've touched my heart and truly impacted my life in a very special, powerful way. May lives continue to be touched and changed because of you and your amazing story. Rest in peace, sweet little one.

One of Houston's radio stations who helped promote numerous benefits being held for Layla just interviewed Layla's father over the past couple days. http://www.104krbe.com/ROULARYANSHOW/tabid/161/Default.aspxPray for strength for both Ryan and Shanna, Layla's parents, as the Celebration of Life for Layla takes place today. This will be open to the general public wishing to pay their respects and will begin about 10:30 am. A private funeral for the family will take place at a later time/date. Pray also for their two other daughters, Claire who is 3 years old and Jenna who is 9. Jenna especially has been having a hard time. The next few weeks will surely be especially difficult as they begin their adjustment to a different life. On a brighter note, Ryan indicated during one of the most recent radio interviews that they will be working on starting a foundation in Layla's honor that will actively seek to help promote and help find a cure for neuroblastoma. While Layla has recently helped put a face on this particular struggle for many people, so many others are fighting the same battle she did (Sophie Atay a 19 month old baby girl is another little one currently fighting a resurgence neuroblastoma.) They too will need the thoughts and prayers of folks who can help. Please continue to check in at www.laylagrace.org and Layla Grace on Twitter for continued updates in the weeks and months ahead. For those that would care to join in, those folks who have been following Layla's story via Twitter, Facebook and Layla's website will be observing a moment of silence and lighting a candle at 8pm tomorrow night in memory of Layla and those who are still fighting neuroblastoma. Thanks goes to some very special people at the Texas Children's Hospital who have been working with Layla all this time in her fight. TCH is one of, if not the top children's hospital in the world. They do amazing work there with a phenomenal staff. Thank you all here on the Forum who have prayed for Layla and her family. I knew I could count on some fantastic folks here in helping to support Layla and join me in lifting her up in prayer.

Prayers going to that dear family today, and candles will be lit in memory of Layla Grace, who will know no more pain.
I admire the Marsh Family for what they are doing, helping to find a cure and prevention of neuroblastoma, and other childhood cancers.
May God bless and comfort them.
